Who Are We?

Lambeth Youth Council are the political voice of young people in Lambeth. We are an advocacy group that take part in decisions that affect young people, we create campaigns on issues that you care about and organise events and projects that make a real difference in your community.

We’re composed of four elected members: the Youth Mayor, the Member of Youth Parliament. The rest of the council is made up of young people of all ages who are interested in changing the world around them for the better!

Hello! I’m Monsurat! I’ve been on the lambeth youth council since November 2017. I am currently  head of crime and safety and in january 2018 I was voted as Deputy Member of the youth Parliament.This year we’re focusing on decreasing stop and search and gang violence within Lambeth. By launching a stop and search campaign to raise awareness for stop and search rights.
